04/15/08 - Greenwich RTM Report - It's Not Easy To Give Money To The Town Of Greenwich (Updated)

"Looking a gift horse in the mouth"

Long Debate About Accepting All That "Free Money"

The RTM did it's due diligence and allowed the Town Of Greenwich accept a gift not to exceed $100,000 for the purpose of conducting surveys, preliminary engineering and preparing schematic plans for a new community pool in Byram.

Greenwich Boys And Girls Club makes offer to expand family swim in it's new pool.

One RTM member reports that it's only $20 for a membership that will allow year around swimming.

Byram RTM Chairman Robert McKnight ends up voting for the $100,000 gift that will improve Byram Park.

04/14/08 - Byram RTM Chairman Robert McKnight Says That Town Planner Diane Fox Has A Conflict Of With The Boston Consultants

There is a rumor going around town that an audio tape was made at the Byram District 4 RTM Public Meeting

Byram RTM Chairman Claims The Byram Master Plan Is Only About 30% Complete And That Her Consultants Are Saying That They Have Completed All of The Required Work.

McKnight Said He Told The Town That It Was A Bad Idea To Hire The Boston Firm Instead Of A Local Firm To Do The Byram Master Plan.

"Everytime There Is A Meeting It Costs The Town A Fortune." McKight said, "That's Why Diane Can't Deliver This Thing."

McKnight also suggested that their might be some inappropriate dealings between Ms. Fox And The Boston Consulting Firm.

The Town Of Greenwich Might Have To Pay The Boston Consultants More Money In Order To Complete The Byram Master Plan.

Robert McKnight Predicts That The Wahba Family Will Sue The Town If The Byram Master Plan Is Not Completed Soon.

Apparently The Powerful Wahba Family is getting upset with Diane Fox's delays with the Byram Master Plan.

The Wahba family is seeking to develope condos on the Champion Oil Property.

RTM District 4 Chairman Robert McKnight says that he is going to go after Diane Fox if the Byram Master Plan is not completed.

Other Byram RTM Members how a survey of the Byram Park pool can be started without having the Master Plan completed.

Some Byram RTM members felt their could be unnessary and costly delays if the two plans have conflicting visions.

Is this putting the cart before the horse?

Other RTM members are not worried because their is a Wahba on the Byram Pool Committee.

It looks like the Wahba's have all the bases covered, even the Byram Nieghborhood Association.

Maybe, Town Planner Diane Fox Should See If The Wahba Family Has Some Conflicts and have had some inappropriate dealings.

Full Disclosure:

The Two Wahba's were on the November Byram RTM Ballot, but were not allowed to be seated due to the fact that they did not live in Byram, before the election.

The Repuublican's then had the Wahba's appointed to complete the terms of Byram RTM seats that did not exist.

According to The Town Of Greenwich Web Site:

The Town Clerk's Web Page The Wahba's can be reached at:

04/12/09 - The Byram RTM Chairman Has Major Problems With Lin Lavery's Pool Donation Proposal (Updated)

Quote:

"The RTM ussually doesn't accept money that isn't there,"said Robert McKnight,"You are asking us to accept donations that have only been pledged."

Robert McKnight Says "Where's The Beef" Lin

Story:

Last night the Byram Neighbourhood Association members started approaching the the District RTM meetings about the the Board of Selectmen authorizing the town yesterday to accept up to $100,000 in private donations for the design and engineering of a new community pool in Byram.

Monday the full RTM will vote on the proposal supported by Selectman Lin Lavery.

RTM District 4 (Byram) Chairman Robert McKnight asked the Byram Neighbourhood Association President,"Where's the money?"

The Byram RTM Chairman and other Byram RTM members went on to explain that the town has been put in awkward positions before. One of the examples mentioned was the sundial that was suposed to be a gift, but ended up being a taxpayer expense. The Byram RTM Chairman said did not think that the full RTM would accept pool committee's "gift of pledged money". McKnight said,"You have to have the cash if you want to get this thing passed."

"We don't even know who these people are!" remarked Mr. McKnight, referring to the six families who town officials said wish to remain anonymous.

Byram RTM Chairman McKnight strongly stated that group should "write a check and put it in an escrow account otherwise I predict that you will have serious trouble at Monday's night's meeting."

The project could cost between $5 million and $7 million, with private donors funding the pool and the town maintaining ownership and control.

Selectman Lin Lavery and the project's supporters want to replace a cramped residential-size pool at Byram Park with a larger 25-meter pool and better restroom facilities through a public-private partnership.

Some Byram RTM member's complained that the Greenwich High School swimming pool was originally to be a school / community pool when it came to the RTM for funding years ago, but the school district did not live up to the funding deal.

Byram RTM members said that when residents went for the Friday night community swim at the High School they were repeatedly not allowed to swim, because pool maintenance or competitions were scheduled during the community swim time.

Eventually, the community swim time was cancelled all together.

01/09/08 - Now Police Commissioner Peter Tesei And Police Chief David Ridberg Are Using Port Chester'sBrien McMahon To Silence A Police Critic

There Have Been A Hundred Projects That The Town Of Greenwich And The Village Of Port Chester Have Been Unable To Work On Cooperatively.

But the one thing they can work on together is another attempt to silence a critic of the Greenwich Police Department and how they serve Byram.

The Greenwich Republicans Have Enlisted The Help Of Port Chester Republican Big Shot Brien McMahon To Visit 10 Pearl Street In Port Chester In Attempt To Silence A Greenwich Police Critic.

This is okay with me, because the little white haired buffoon will soon be deposed, just like Robert McKnight and his bogus three month old anonymous letter.

And I Got News For First Selectman Tesei And The Greenwich Police Department the weak McMahon and the unbelievable McKnight are not going to lie at a deposition for a Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit and end up with some prison time.

These two guys are going to squeal like the little pigs that they are.

It is just not clear if these two will implicate Mr. Tesei when they start squealing in their depositions.
