Tom Foley for Governor Announces Latest Round of Endorsements

Stamford, Conn., - Tom Foley, candidate for Governor, released his latest round of endorsements adding to a list of prominent Republican activists supporting his campaign.

"Tom has himself proven to be the only candidate in the race that is focused on structurally changing the way business is done in Hartford. After spending seven years in the Capitol, it is clear to me that Tom's business background, coupled with his government experience, is best-suited to take on the necessary challenges of reducing the size and cost of state government," said State Senator Kevin Witkos.

"To talk about jobs is not enough, we need someone who has a plan to restore jobs, promote policies to make Connecticut a place to do business, and reinvigorate our economy, which is being dragged down by a bloated bureaucracy. We need a true leader, someone who will adhere to the constitutional spending cap and make the tough decisions needed to do that. Tom is the candidate that will lead Connecticut out of this recession and get our state working again."

Since June of last year, Tom has been traveling across Connecticut listening to voter's concerns and building support for his Plan Forward for Connecticut. With this latest endorsement it is clear his message is resonating throughout the state.

"Tom Foley's overall Plan to revitalize Connecticut's economy and to reduce the size and cost of our state's government are not just visions but actions that represent the changes we need to get Connecticut's economy back on track. His plan will help to alleviate some of the tax burdens presently being experienced by the citizens of our state," said Mayor Jim Streeter of Groton. "Tom not only has the knowledge and background to turn our state's economy around, but more importantly, he has the will and desire to do so."
