Joshua Evans, 24, was inside the structure when Greenwich police arrived, according to police reports. A posting on the building stated that no individual was to remain within the premises while it was in such a condition, police said. The Greenwich Department of Health and Engineering had deemed the building uninhabitable.
Evans was released on a promise to appear. He is due in state Superior Court in Stamford September 9th.
