12/31/07 - Red Alert - The Gateway To The Town Of Greenwich And The Village Of Byram Looks Like A Hazardous Waste Zone

Thank God The Police Department
Is Making Sure That There Are
No Broken Tail Lights US1

The State DOT Says To 20,000 Cars A
Day Go Up And Down US1 (Putnam Avenue).

Just Look At What They See When They Enter The Town Of Greenwich And The Village Of Byram.

The Place Is A Dump.

If you look to the right you will see a man who rides a bike from Port Chester to drink all day long.

He doesn't drink from an open container in Port Chester, because he would be locked up.

Every school day he drinks in front of Byram children as they get on and off their school busses.

I don't want to show a picture of him, because he suffers from an illness.

However, here is the mess he leaves.

I have personally went down to the vest pocket or gateway park and cleaned this mess up many times.

If you look to the you will see the Welcome Sign covered with gang wittings.

It sure is hard for Byram School children to say no to gangs, when they think that DPW workers or the police are too scared to remove the gang symbols.

This gang related witting is
killing business in Byram.

Greenwich residents from Old Greenwich, Riverside and the Back Country just are not used to shopping in areas marked by criminal gangs tags.

But if you don't like this little vest pocket park, then go across the street there is a another park with a historic house that is used as drug or crack house.

It sure is hard for school children just to say no to drugs when they see druggies right across the street from their bus stop.

But don't worry the Byram Police Officer is just a few blocks down on US1 checking for burned out tail lights.

Meanwhile, at night cars parked on Byram streets are having their windows smashed, mirrors knocked off and tires slashed.

12/31/07 - Timelime Proves That Police Officers Retaliated Against A Greenwich Legislator, Because He Spoke Out About The GPD And Byram

I am going to take a few moments to correct the hopelessly biased Greenwich Police Captain Michael Pacewicz and expose his amateurish attempt at a cover up.
Previously the following had been posted here at Greenwich Roundup Here Is A Timeline:

12/29/07 - Byram man complains about civil rights violations and police using illegal search as a means of retaliation

12/27/07 - They Did A Lindy Urso On Me - Greenwich Police Raid At 6pm Prevents Me From Speking To Sam Romeo On WGCH

"So at 6 when the Sam Romeo show starts to come on two police officers come into my wives store asking for me. They tell me they ticketed the car that I had been complaining about and now they were going to inspect my wives's store for infractions.

They took down my name, address, social security number, date of birth, and social security number, but they did not ask for my frighten wives's information.

Then they were demanding that I give them a drivers license. I told them I did not drive, because I did not drive. I have a glass eye in my right eye and that I do not see to good out of my left eye.

Then officers started telling me that my photo ID was not good enough, They then started telling me that they were going to have to arrest me and have me make bond for the ticket they were going to write up. They started claiming that they did not know who I was.

I then told the officers that they knew exactly who I was, because one of the officers had made remarks to me previously, because I had filed a civilian complaint against a police officer, who latter sued the Greenwich Police Department for discrimination and said the Greenwich Police were inappropriately using road blocks to profile poor and minority residents of Byram."

6:00 pm - The Greenwich Matters Show Hosted By Sam Romeo Comes On WGCH

#####

12/27/07 - Please Help Me Get Up To Spead On The Issues Affecting Byram

Tonight, I am going to speak on the Sam Romeo show about the poor job that the police department does of patrolling and protecting Byram.

Mr. Romeo rightly demands accountability of all departments of Greenwich Government. Yet he refuses to use his WGCH microphone to demand the same accountability of the Greenwich Police Department.

Please understand that I do not think at this time that the individual officers are the problem.

I support the police officers, my car is loaded with Greenwich police union stickers going back for years.

I really think the problem is with how the police brass manage the Greenwich Police Department. The Republican administration should have gotten an outside professional to replace Chief Walters."

12/27/07 - Greenwich Matters Is On Tonight On WGCH

"Tonight it will be time again for Greenwich Matter's to air on WGCH from 6 pm to 7 pm.

The Show Features Sam Romeo has been strong critic of Greenwich Governmental Departments.

He demands accountability and sound management practices of the Greenwich Governmental Departments That He Goes After.

However, Sam Romeo Turns A Blind Eye To The Greenwich Police Department.

Mr. Romeo will make excuses for the Police Department Leadership, but he refuses to demand accountability.

Mr. Romeo strongly supports the Greenwich Police Department, as everyone in Greenwich does.

I personally believe that there are many outstanding officers in the Greenwich Police Department, but the management of those officers is a joke.

I live in Byram and the officers are poorly managed."

12/26/07 - This Greenwich Police Department Theroy Has Prevented The Police Department For Solving This Murder For 18 Months.

"Police Brass have been sticking to this lame brain theory that the 16 million dollar swindler Andrew Kissel hired a guy to tie his hands and feet in Flex Cuffs, pull his T-shirt over his head and then be stabbed four or five times in the back, because he couldn't bring himself to commit suicide."

12/24/07 - A Christmas Wish For Justice - How To Slove The Unsolved Murders Of Greenwich

Maybe Greenwich Police Chief David Ridberg should hire disgraced Los Angeles Detective Mark Furman to come solve this 18 month old Kissel murder and then write a second book about it.

Then maybe Police Chief
David Ridberg can let disgraced Los Angeles detective go solve the murder of that poor little boy in the Pemberwick section of Greenwich.

The Port Chester Police Department, The Rye Brook Police Department, The Rye City Police Department doesn't have all of these unsolved murders laying around.

Why does the Greenwich Police Department have all of these unsolved murders?

12/24/07 - The Police Department Is All Talk And No Action

For over one week I have had a call into the Police Official who is responsible for Western Greenwich. Radio host Sam Romeo suggested I call this police resource or liaison officer for Western Greenwich.

When I called Mr. Romeo about some of the short comings i saw with how the Police were deployed in Byram he suggested I Call the police official in charge of Western Greenwich.

So I took Mr. Romeo's advice and reached out to make the call.

I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Romeo. He is the reason I decided to put my name out to be on the Byram RTM.

However, Mr. Romeo's close association with some police officials and officers seems to clood his judgment on Police performance in certain areas of Greenwich.

...The senior suspended by Capasso, Stephen Bryn, 17, was accused of making a sexually suggestive remark about a female student, and is seeking a court injunction to block the school from sharing information about the discipline with colleges where he applies.

Lindy Urso, an attorney for Bryn, said he and Bryn were told by a guidance counselor during a meeting that the alleged incident could be reported to colleges where Bryn applies.

Bryn denies making the comment, and wants the court to overturn the discipline and to be granted a more formal hearing where he can refute the allegations, his attorney said.

The judge denied an emergency injunction but scheduled arguments on the application for Feb. 11, according to Urso....

According to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, state law requires Greenwich boaters Ian MacMillan and Frank Rupp to obtain a permit to moor their docks in an area of Greenwich Harbor known as Horseneck Bay. The heavily silted area, where Horseneck Creek empties into the harbor, is wedged between Roger Sherman Baldwin Park and Grass Island and has dozens of moorings....

12/29/07 - Byram man complains about civil rights violations and police using illegal search as a means of retaliation

Captain Michael Pacewicz has officially launched Operation Cover Up At The Greenwich Police Department

Headline:

Byram man complains about police attention

Quote:

“I am especially going to complain about the 4 to Midnight shift when most of the vandalism occurs."

Story:

Police will conduct an internal affairs investigation into a complaint by a Byram merchant and town legislator who alleged yesterday four officers illegally targeted his North Water Street flower and gift shop Thursday evening to stifle him from criticizing them on a local radio program.

Brian Harrod, 46, of 161 North Water St., filed a one- page complaint yesterday morning and said four officers entered and searched the floral shop in the building where he lives around 6 p.m. Thursday and searched it after he called police twice to ticket an illegally parked car outside the stor

Greenwich Police Capt. Michael Pacewicz said the department had received the complaint from Harrod and that it would be investigated and the officers disciplined if warranted.

Harrod said he believed the police visit to the store was suspiciously timed because it came hours after he posted on his blog that later in the day he would call 'Greenwich Matters,' a WGCH call-in show hosted by Sam Romeo that airs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, to complain about police coverage of Byram.

'It's just not kosher to use selective enforcement tactics because of somebody exercising their First Amendment rights,' said Harrod, a District 4/Byram Representative Town Meeting of Greenwich delegate elected this fall. 'You don't come after a store because of free speech....

....In his blog, Harrod criticizes police and other town agencies for allegedly overlooking Byram's needs and police know him firsthand from his ongoing complaints about illegally parked cars on North Water Street and other nuisances such as a drunk who sits in a parked car tippling all day, Harrod said.

One entry dated Thursday on Harrod's blog at greenwichroundup.blogspot.com praises rank and file officers, but said a lack of supervision hurts enforcement.

'I personally believe that there are many outstanding officers in the Greenwich Police Department, but the management of those officers is a joke,' Harrod writes. 'Windows get smashed, tires get slashed, mirrors get knocked off cars, while the Byram police officer just sits on US1 looking for broken taillights on cars.'

Harrod goes on to say he will call 'Greenwich Matters' Thursday night.

'Tonight, I am going to call Sam Romeo again and complain about the poorly managed police officers who are responsible for patrolling Byram,' Harrod writes. 'I am especially going to complain about the 4 to Midnight shift when most of the vandalism occurs.'

The same day, Harrod had a blog entry ridiculing Greenwich Police Chief David Ridberg for appearing too sensitive on WGCH when discussing the Andrew M. Kissel murder investigation.

Ridberg said this week that investigators in the case had never publicly said they believed that Kissel hired his own killer, a theory which Lindy Urso, an attorney representing a potential suspect, said police have focused on.

'Thin-skinned Police Chief David Ridberg is all over the WGCH airwaves attacking attorney Lindy Urso for questioning police tactics and suggesting that Greenwich Police might want to pursue other leads,' Harrod wrote.....

Original Stamford Advocate article:

Byram man complains about police attention

(I will have more to say about this article later - For now I will just say that the hopelessly biased and unprofessional Michael Pacewicz is misleading the media and the public. I have had dealings with Mr. Pacewicz in the past and I will be discussing them in this blog in the near future.)

Here is the Original Greenwich Roundup article that completely details what happened.

This happened the day after I complained the thin skinned Greenwich Police Chief looking like a fool for repeatedly going on WGCH to attack attorney Lindsey Urso for suggesting that the Greenwich Police Department might want to braoden the 18 month old Andrew Kissell murder investigation.
