Greenwich News Alert Virtually the entire town of Greenwich is without power as of 11:30 a.m., leading First Selectman Peter Tesei to declare a state of emergency. A major transmission line for Greenwich   was damaged in Sunday night's storm and failed completely at approximately 10 a.m. Monday morning. Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) said that 27,603 customers were without power Monday morning, representing approximately 98% of the entire town.
