A citizen-led effort to replace the Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich with a new field house through a public-private fundraising partnership is quickly gaining momentum behind the scenes. Architects and engineers are expected to submit conceptual designs shortly, to go along with a business plan and a needs assessment survey for the new facility.
Outgoing First Selectman Jim Lash met Thursday with a few members of the Greenwich Community Center Committee to discuss the project.
