Police stopped a black Audi station wagon on West Putnam Avenue last night after the vehicle did not have its exterior lights lit, according to police. While speaking with the driver, Constantine J. Hadjipateras, 18, police saw several Smirnoff bottles. One of the two other teenage boys in the car was attempting to conceal the bottles with his legs, police said. A check of the rear passenger floor revealed a black plastic bag with a bottle of Southern Comfort and a bottle of Minsk Vodka inside it, police said.
In addition to the charge of possession of alcohol by a minor, Hadjipateras was issued a written warning for failure to have lights illuminated.
All three suspects are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford Nov. 25.
