Allison Lauren Johnston, the daughter of Nancy M. Johnston and Russell D. Johnston of Emerald Isle, N.C., was married Saturday to Capt. Ted John Hubbard, a son of Bess H. Hubbard and George Hubbard of Greenwich, Conn. The Rev. Kenneth P. Ambrose, a United Methodist minister, officiated in an outdoor ceremony at the Ocean Club Resort in Indian Beach, N.C.
Mrs. Hubbard, 29, was until June a customer service representative for Peter Millar Luxury Apparel in Raleigh, N.C. She graduated from Lipscomb University.
Her father, who worked in Raleigh, retired as a real estate tax appraiser for the Wake County Department of Revenue. Her mother, who also worked in Raleigh, retired as a special education teacher with the Wake County Public School System.
Captain Hubbard, 27, is a Marine infantry officer. He is assigned to Marine Barracks Washington, as the silent drill platoon commander; he leads a 24-man rifle platoon that performs precision drill exhibitions. He served in Ramadi, Iraq, from October 2007 to May 2008, and in the Helmand Province in Afghanistan from May to November 2009. He graduated from Boston College.
His mother retired as the assistant to the headmaster of Brunswick School, an independent campus for boys in Greenwich. His father is the founder and managing partner of Algonquin Advisors, a wealth management and investment advisory firm in Greenwich.
