FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 14, 2010 | Press Contact: Liz Osborn (203) 998-0773 | Tom Foley for Governor Announces Endorsement of Roxbury Republican Town Committee Stamford, Conn., -- Tom Foley for Governor announced today that the Roxbury Republican Town Committee has endorsed his candidacy. The town of Roxbury will bring 4 delegates to next week's nominating convention.
"The Roxbury RTC is pleased to endorse Tom Foley for Governor," said Roxbury First Selectman Barbara Henry. "For years Hartford insiders have been placing unfunded mandates on towns that we cannot afford. Tom's Plan repeals mandates that unnecessarily raise costs and gives towns a voice in determining state policy. As governor, Tom Foley will allow us to conduct our business in a way that is best for Roxbury and other small towns across the state."
Campaign Manager Justin Clark is thrilled with the way Connecticut's towns are responding to Tom's Plan Forward for Connecticut. "Tom continues to receive strong grassroots support from across Connecticut. RTCs are the heart and soul of the Republican Party in our state, and they are responding well to Tom's outsider perspective. Connecticut needs a strong leader who is not part of the political system that created the fiscal crisis we are facing today. Tom has the background, experience, and leadership necessary to get our state back on track."
