One of two people charged with narcotics possession following the 2004 overdose death of a town teenager pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Jason Cunningham, 24, of Greenwich, received a five-year suspended jail sentence and three years of probation with no special conditions, which means he could face jail time if he violates his probation, according to his attorney.
Cunningham was arrested in September 2008, four years after John Bria III was found dead in the basement of his Hollow Wood Lane home.....
....Prior to the plea, Cunningham attempted to enter a diversionary program, but was denied by a judge who said the circumstances of the case were too severe.
Police also previously charged Savanna Lamotte, 23, of Greenwich, with possession of a narcotic. Lamotte has yet to enter a plea. She also was denied the diversionary program earlier this year.....
