Police detain five in Pemberwick drug bust Greenwich Time Greenwich police outside of 104 Pemberwick Road in the Pemberwick section of Greenwich, where two people were arrested for possession of marijuana, ... .... Sgt. Timothy Hilderbrand, the head of the department's narcotics section, said police responded to the area of 104 Pemberwick Road on an unrelated call when officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from two men walking down the street. After stopping the men just before 6 p.m., police said the suspects admitted they had marijuana and handed over approximately two to four ounces of the drug, Hilderbrand said. The men also admitted they had purchased the drugs from a house at 104 Pemberwick Road...... .....Wednesday's drug bust was not planned. The heavy police activity drew a crowd of neighbors, some of whom complained that there have been too many disturbances lately. One woman, who declined to be identified, said she hoped more cops patrolled the area to keep the "family neighborhood" safe. During the drug bust, police had to call in a K-9 unit from Harrison, N.Y., to help determine whether a car on scene contained drugs. "He searched the exterior and it tested positive for the presence of drugs," Hilderbrand said. Police were not able to search the car without a warrant.
