The $89-per-square-foot office rents along Greenwich Avenue are the third highest among major thoroughfares nationally, according to real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.

Part of a study of 40 office markets in the U.S., Pennsylvania Avenue was among the premier streets in the country.

However, Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, Calif., came in at $113.64 per square foot; Fifth Avenue in Manhattan at $97.14 per square foot; Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, Conn., at $89.86 per square foot and University Avenue in Silicon Valley where the average rent is $83.16 per square foot.
