06/10/10 Dan Debicella Says Greenwich Resident Jim Himes Runs From Record

Himes Runs From Record

Dear Friends,

Jim Himes is running from his record already. After rubber-stamping a $1.4 trillion deficit and a 22% increase in discretionary spending, he is now calling for some "spending restraint".

Now that he faces a tough campaign against me, Himes is now paying lip service to fiscal responsibility. He cannot match my proven record of fiscal responsibility. Himes was recently quoted in Politico paying lip service to responsibility saying, “I’m just at a point where I don’t want to see any more unpaid spending.”

This is the same person who voted for the auto industry bailouts, the ineffective stimulus plan, a massive health care expansion, and to raise the debt limit another $1.9 billion this year! Yesterday, the Westport Minuteman took Himes to task and had this to say about his sudden dash to middle ground.

Himes’ record of fiscal responsibility has been non-existent when you look at his actual votes – and he can’t hide from it. He has become a guaranteed vote for DC insiders, voting lock-step with his party 95% of the time.

Jim Himes is not the independent he claims to be and he does not represent the average families of Fairfield County. Himes is going to use his large war chest to distort the facts and his true voting record since he has been in Washington. This is why a donation of $25, $50, $100 to my campaign will truly help support the values of free enterprise, smaller government, and individual liberty we all hold so dear.

Please make a contribution to my campaign or sign up to volunteer to help restore fiscal responsibility to Washington.

All my best,

-Dan

PS: The campaign office is open from 10AM to 8PM, M-F and Saturdays beginning at 9:30AM. We are located at 98 East Ave, Norwalk. Call the office at (203) 663-2777 and ask for John.
