03/13/10 Storm Notification Message

Hello – this is First Selectman Peter Tesei calling to advise you of the extreme weather conditions we are experiencing and the potential impact it may have on the Town of Greenwich.

The entire Town will continue to experience high winds, heavy rains and downed trees that may result in potential road closures and power outages.

The Town is presently monitoring river and stream conditions and the potential for coastal flooding which may occur with this evening's high tide around 10PM.

Residents in low lying coastal areas should be alert for rising waters and take appropriate action to protect life and property. If you feel you are in imminent danger due to flooding you should call 911.

Thank you.
