Man Is Accused of Using Knife to Threaten Greenwich Family

A man with a history of convictions on assault, harassment and weapons charges is facing disorderly and threatening charges after he was found to have threatened family members with a large knife in their Greenwich home. According to a Greenwich Police report, the 26-year-old Stratford resident was arrested Monday night after his family called police and said he threatened them before leaving the home.

Jury selection began Tuesday in the trial of a city man accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife's boyfriend, even as some key evidence held by the state was knocked out as evidence. Miguel Juarez , 53, of Richmond Place, is charged with attempted murder for allegedly hiring an ex-employee to pay someone between $5,000 and $8,000 to kill a Greenwich man that his wife had been seeing romantically.
