Mead Point property sells for $19.9 million

There was no room for silly jokes on April Fools' Day in Greenwich as the Tax Assessor's Office recorded more than $28 million in residential real estate sales that day, including a $19.9 million transaction on Mead Point. The property at 573 Indian Field Road, which sits on a little more than 2 acres, was quietly snapped up by Russian tech mogul Ratmir Timashev, according to the official transaction record.

Greenwich Man Faces Charges He Assaulted Woman, Dragged Her by the Hair

A Greenwich resident has been arrested on charges he assaulted a woman and dragged her out of his apartment by the hair. The suspect was arrested about 10 a.m. Saturday after the victim went to Greenwich Police headquarters to report the incident, according to a police report.

Port Chester Teen Charged with Breaking into Parked Cars in Greenwich

A 19-year-old from Port Chester is facing burglary and larceny charges in connection with the daytime burglaries of parked cars in the area of West Putnam Avenue and Columbus Avenue in Greenwich. Greenwich Police were called by a witness who saw "a suspicious subject attempting to enter parked cars" in the area of 364 W. Putnam Ave. at 10:24 a.m. March 30, according to a police report.

JCC Hosting Holocaust Remembrance Program In Greenwich

A community-wide remembrance program to honor the survivors and the memory of Holocaust victims from 70 years ago will be hosted by JCC Greenwich and UJA Greenwich at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Temple Sholom, 300 E. Putnam Ave. The entire community is invited to attend the free program, which begins with a screening of "Numbered," the prize-winning documentary that tells the stories of Auschwitz survivors whose tattooed numbers add up to resilience of the spirit.
