GOP critic: Malloy redistributing income from rich towns to cities

A leading GOP critic of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has accused the second-term Democrat of redistributing income from wealthy towns such as Greenwich to poor cities like Bridgeport, drawing new scrutiny to what is the widest wealth gap of any state in the nation. State Sen. Toni Boucher , R-Wilton, emailed her supporters a link Sunday night to a series of interactive maps -- incorporating 2012 data from the state Department of Revenue Services -- that she said illustrate the inequity in municipal aid distributed by the state.
