In recent years, former Greenwich resident Suzanne Garber has run into scores of successful businesspeople who have found their lives turned upside down by downsizing and layoffs. A former executive at FedEx, Garber left the company after 14 years to become the chief operating officer of a medical evacuation company several years ago, but made an effort to keep in touch with her colleagues.
