Greenwich shellfishing will be the focus of the First Sunday Science at the Seaside Center program on Sunday, March 1, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Ed Stilwagen of Atlantic Clam Farms and Jadar Nygaard of Hemlock Oyster Company will talk about "Commercial Shellfishing in Greenwich Waters" at 2 p.m. Visitors of all ages are welcome to enjoy a raw bar of oysters and clams and family-oriented activities throughout the afternoon. The activities include microscopic looks inside a clam, exploration of the marine touch tank, and a recreational shellfishing demonstration led by members of the Greenwich Shellfish Commission.
