Timeless treasures: Antiques connect generations and styles in today's designs

This purse, with its arc of jewels and shimmery fabric, is an example of some of the antique handbags, purses and clutches that East Hampton, N.Y., dealer Nula Thanhauser is expected to bring to the Winter Antiques Show, which wil run Dec. 6 and 7, 2014. It is part of a series of holiday events that fall under the umbrella of the Greenwich Historical Society's Antiquarius 2014, the organization's largest fundraiser of the year.
