The Junior League of Greenwich held a food drive at Whole Foods and Stop & Shop on West Putnam Avenue benefiting the Neighbor to Neighbor food pantry at Christ Church that serves families in Port Chester, Greenwich and Stamford.
As one of the Junior League of Greenwich’s ongoing “Done in A Day” Projects, members collected nonperishable foods to stock the food pantry at the drive last month.
The food drive kicked off the first of a series of annual community service events, which are run by Junior League members.
The three-hour drive collected more than 75 bags of food, including much needed items such as cereal, rice, pasta, and cans of tuna, soup and vegetables.
