In the second case this month, Greenwich Police busted a New York City man who they say tried to buy a $30,665 Rolex watch at Betteridge Jewelers on Greenwich Avenue. The suspect admitted to police he used a fake license for ID and a fake credit card to buy the pricey timepiece on Sept. 20. On Sept. 10, a similar incident occurred at the Greenwich Avenue shop, resulting in another NYC man.
