Volunteers are still needed from 8 to noon to assist in shoreline trash and litter removal. Greenwich Green and Clean is sponsoring the townwide cleanup. Volunteers may stop by any firehouse from 8 to noon for litter bags, gloves and refreshments.
Additionally, Greenwich Green & Clean will have a table at the gatehouse to Greenwich Point for the coastal inventory.
All shoreline trash/litter that is picked up should be brought here to be included in the inventory.
The inventory is meant to determine what kind of trash and litter is found in the coastal waters.
Officials from the group say there is much work to be done this year as a result of the damage caused by Tropical Storm Irene.
