08/30/11 There Are Six CL&P Crews Working With Greenwich DPW And Tree Crews Tonight
The Top Priority For CL&P And Greenwich Tree And Highway Crews Tonight Is Still Reopening The Town's Main Roads.
The town and utility are also concentrating on cul-de-sacs that are blocked by downed trees and wires.
The town of Greenwich has promised that all roads would be partially, if not fully, reopened, by 7 a.m. this morning.
Crews are working to finish Stanwich Road overnight.
CL&P's additional priority areas overnight are the Greenwich Woods nursing home and the Connecticut Health Facilities rehabilitation building, both located on King Street.
Other priority area are the water pump stations at West End Avenue and Shore Road.
Also targeted is the emergency communications facility on Butternut Hollow Road.
The residential Rockwood Lane is also high on the utility's to-do list.
There are more than 70 families have been cut off on Rockwood Lane.
The town and CL&P are supposed to give a much more detailed restoration prediction some time on Tuesday morning.
