A Metro North Spokesperson has said that the Greenwich Train Station will on a limited schedule this by late afternoon.
With in 24 hours there should be full local service up to the Stamford train station, thus putting the Cos Cob and Old Greenwich train stations on a local schedule.
UPDATE:
1:00 PM
If things go as planed the 3:54 p.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central Terminal will be the first train to run since trains were shut down during Tropical Storm Irene.
The first outbound train from Grand Central will be the 4:37 p.m. train to New Haven, which also stops in Stamford.
Trees continued to fall all along the 70-mile line into, further extending efforts to clear the right of way and deal with signal problems, this could effect the above mentioned times.
As of 12 PM today, Metro-North was running regular service on the Harlem line between North White Plains and Grand Central Terminal, though several more northern stops of that railway line remain submerged by flood waters.
