05/26/11 Marc Bradley has a new job: Fill Joe Lieberman's Senate Seat With William Tong

A Stamford lawmaker William Tong believes his compelling life story will help catapult him toward the top of the pack of candidates considering a run for retiring U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman's seat.

Rep. William Tong, D-Stamford, has hired Marc Bradley to help with the race for Joe Liberman's soon to vacant senate seat.

It looks like William Tong been talking to friends and potential donors in both Connecticut and Washington D.C. about running for the U.S. Senate.

Tong, the first Asian American elected to the General Assembly, believes he provides a good contrast to U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy and former Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz, who have already announced they're vying for the Democratic party's nomination.

Tong, is a fiscal conservative and a Democrat.
