Dear Friend,
There are less than three weeks left until the Democratic primary, and our grassroots operation has kicked into high gear. Every night, volunteers flood into our offices and every weekend our staff and volunteers are going door-to-door across the state. All five of our regional field offices are up and running - please stop by or give us a call to volunteer:West Hartford - 1 Sedgwick Road - 860-904-2125
Norwich - 110 Broadway - 860-949-8326
New Haven - 169 Orange Street - 203-648-9851
Norwalk - 20 North Main Street - 203-939-1431
Torrington - 51 Water Street - 860-618-5470
In the remaining weeks, Ned and the campaign are focused on speaking directly with the people of Connecticut about his plans to move Connecticut forward. Ned's top priority as governor will be to create jobs and give our families the opportunity for a better life, and his message is resonating with voters who are fed up with the same old politics in Hartford.
If the same party insiders who always vote in primaries are the only voters who cast ballots on August 10th, anything could happen. But if you get out and vote, and bring your friends and neighbors, then we will win this primary and together we can get Connecticut winning again. If you can't get to the polls on Tuesday, August 10th, you can still vote - just visit the Connecticut Secretary of State's website or call (860) 509-6100 to apply for an Absentee Ballot.
To qualify for absentee voting, you must be unable to appear at your polling place on August 10th because of:
1. Your active service in the US armed forces
2. Your absence from town during all voting hours
3. Your illness
4. Your physical disability
5. Your religion forbids secular (non-religious) activity on that day
6. Your required performance of duties as a primary, referendum, or election official at a polling place other than your own during all voting hours on that day.
Remember, Ned needs your vote on Tuesday, August 10th. Spread the word, bring your friends and family, and help get Connecticut back on offense.
Thanks,
Joe
