Dear Greenwich Roundup, We have the opportunity this year to elect a different kind of Senator. Our campaign doesn't accept special interest money, and we've built our campaign around a solid plan for putting Connecticut back to work. I released a detailed plan and mailed it to voters around the state to explain exactly how I would get to work on day one to revive our economy and create jobs in our state. Grassroots supporters like you are building the momentum that is driving our campaign. Republican leaders from all over the state are rallying behind our campaign because they know we can beat Dick Blumenthal in November. In January, the day after announcing he would run for the U.S. Senate, Blumenthal pledged he had never taken special interest money. Only four months later, we learned that he's lined his pockets with nearly a quarter million dollars from special interests. Washington insiders like Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer are scrambling to write checks to Blumenthal so they can keep control of Connecticut's Senate seat. Washington special interests are already trying to buy their next Senator. It's time for something different. Your support is critical to bring real change to Washington and put an end to politics as usual. Thank you again for your support and for all your hard work in this campaign. All the best, Linda McMahon for Senate 2010 |
