2009 DISTINGUISHED TEACHER AWARDEES


The Distinguished Teachers Award Committee is pleased to announce
the recipients of the 2009 Distinguished Teachers Award.


* GRETCHEN CRANDALL, North Mianus School, Grade 2 *
* KATHLEEN HARBORT, Eastern Middle School, Grades 8 Science *
* ANNE MARIE HAYMON, Western Middle School, Grades 6-8 Art *
* AARON HULL, Greenwich High School, Grades 10-11 History *
* SUSAN TRACEY, Greenwich Public Schools Preschool at Old Greenwich School *
* JUDY WREN, Parkway/Old Greenwich Schools, Instructional Coach *


The Distinguished Teacher Awards Committee, established in 1984, has worked on the selection process for this year’s recipients for the last eight months.


The committee selects the Distinguished Teachers from nominations made by colleagues, parents, students, administrators and/or community members
based on criteria outlined in the nomination packet.


The Recipients will be recognized at the Board of Education meeting,
Thursday, April 23 rd
at Riverside School, 7:00pm.


The DISTINGUISHED TEACHER AWARDS CEREMONY
will take place at Western Middle School on Tuesday, May 5 th
at 4:00pm.
