  1. Whatever happened to hard-hitting blogging and finding the story behind the story. You're now resorting to printing press releases? Could this be the yellowing of Greenwich Roundup? Should we call it Yellowich Roundup?

  2. Dear Anoymous,

Greenwich Roundup is designed to reduce the time and effort that Greenwich residents need to use to regularly check to see what is going on their town.

Press releases are a legitimate source of information, if the reader understands that it is not a news story telling both sides of the issue.

However,Greenwich Roundup clearly lables press releases as press releases, where as some Greenwich newspapers reguritate the press releases almost word for word in a so-called news story.

I am currently not aware of any story behing the vinyard vines story, accept that I Can't justify spending that much on a cute little tie.

Maybe, I just get too excited over press releases, because receiving them it makes me feel like a real corporate mainstream journalist.

Or maybe I am just getting lazy like the other mainstream reporters in Greenwich.

A press release is an easy post that doesn't involve much thought.

Just ask the folks at the Greenwich Post how easy it is to publisdh press releases word for word.
