Croquet players vie for title

Two nationally ranked croquet players battled it out at the Greenwich Invitational yesterday for the championship .

Nickerson to address Retired Men on Wednesday


State Sen. William Nickerson, R-Greenwich, will speak to the Retired Men's Association at the First United Methodist Church, 59 E. Putnam Ave., on Wednesday.

Pitt honors Greenwich donors at ceremony

Bettye J. and Ralph E. Bailey of Greenwich were among six families honored last week for contributing at least $1 million each to the University of Pittsburgh.

Gay marriage splits state

Maureen Boylan and Peter Wolfgang are on opposite sides of the same-sex marriage debate. Boylan, a Stamford resident, entered into a civil union with her partner, Barbara LeCornec, when that became legal in 2005.
