Troops beautify Glenville firehouse
From left, Allison Frenz, Kate Palastro, Abigail O’Keefe, Sophia Catalano, Sophia Ferraro, Katie Harkness, Elizabeth Fernandez, Emma Jinno, Jackie Steinman, Miranda Kaiser and Meaghan Grund of Junior Girl Scout Troop 50231 in Glenville carried out a beautification project on June 1, as part of a ‘green’ event the girls came up with after studying environmental issues. The Girl Scouts walked and rode bikes to a park, bringing non-motorized sports equipment (frisbees, badminton, etc.) and planted flowers in front of the Glenville Fire Department. The troop members are third and fourth graders at Glenville school.
