3 Charged In Greenwich Shoplifting Incident That Ended With Smashed Cars

Three New York state residents are facing serious charges after a shoplifting attempt went awry and a number of vehicles were damaged on Greenwich Avenue as a suspect attempted to flee, Greenwich police said. The incident started at about 1 p.m. Tuesday when a man later identified by police as Lamonte Riddenhour, 38, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., drove a Honda Accord into several vehicles on Greenwich Avenue in downtown Greenwich, police said.
