New 'Sandy' makes leap from shelter to big screen

Award-winning animal trainer Bill Berloni, who lives in Haddam, Conn., picked the latest "Sandy," for the the new "Annie" movie from the Adopt-A-Dog shelter in Armonk, N.Y. Marti, pictured here with Berloni, had only been at the shelter for a few months when Berloni discovered her. The agency has been working to find new homes for animals since 1981, when it was started in Greenwich, Conn.
