Tightly knit group makes shawls for cancer patients

Brokers from around Fairfield and Westchester counties gathered at Greenwich Office Park Thursday morning to take in the sights at a newly renovated office space, the first of several projects that will transform the formerly monolithic cluster into a more modern destination. The park, built as a headquarters for UPS in the 1970s, went under the knife recently for $14 million in renovations, and is making its debut as a LEED-certified option with about 40,000 square feet of office space up for grabs in the newest section.

Vinny Paz movie to begin shooting next month

The Providence Journal reports that East Greenwich-based Verdi Productions President Chad Verdi and Paz were at Twin River casino in Lincoln on Thursday scouting filming locations for "Bleed for This." Paz said his life has "always been a movie" and "always been crazy" but that he wouldn't have it any other way.

No Injuries Reported In Car Fire On Merritt Parkway In Greenwich

The southbound Merritt Parkway was partially reopened by 2:10 p.m. after a car fire, but Greenwich police warned of long traffic delays in the area. The car fire, which was reported between Exits 28 and 27 at 1:35 p.m., was extinguished by the Greenwich Fire Department.

Two Convent Of The Sacred Heart Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
