Malloy, Foley spar over jobs, crime

Deflecting criticism over his stewardship of Connecticut's lethargic economy, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy played the wealth card Tuesday night against hard-charging Republican challenger Tom Foley in their second televised debate. Malloy cast his rival as a 1 percenter who paid no state or federal income taxes in 2011 and 2012, despite Foley owning a $10 million Greenwich mansion and a $5 million yacht.

More than 40 Greenwich stores are coming together Thursday to donate a portion of sales to The Breast Cancer Alliance in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While several of the town's stores have made donations to the alliance during October in previous years, this year will be bigger and better, the alliance director said.
