Malloy, Foley spar over jobs, crimevisit|article-5792470|interleaved-5791758-breaking-news|1

Deflecting criticism over his stewardship of Connecticut's lethargic economy, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy played the wealth card Tuesday night against hard-charging Republican challenger Tom Foley in their first televised debate. Malloy cast his rival as a 1-percenter who paid no state or federal income taxes in 2011 and 2012, despite Foley owning a $10 million Greenwich mansion and a $5 million yacht.
