2014 In Review: Malloy Prepares For Second Term After Winning Tight Race

In a hard-fought campaign that mirrored their exceptionally close 2010 gubernatorial campaign, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy was able to fend off Greenwich multimillionaire Tom Foley to win his second consecutive four-year term as governor in November's election. A former mayor of Stamford, Malloy was able to overcome an early campaign lead by Foley - a Quinnipiac University poll in early September had Foley leading Malloy by 6 percentage points.
