The long wait is almost over for a Connecticut veteran who did not receive military medals for his World War II service nearly seven decades ago. U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is set to finally present the medals to 91-year-old Vincent Meli at a senior home in Greenwich on Monday morning.
