Just how many more storms and power outages is it going to take before our elected officials mandate that all utility lines be put under ground?
If water, gas, and sewer lines can be, there's no reason why electric, phone and cable lines can't be also.
It's done in other cities and other countries.
The state, should have a mandate that these lines be put underground.
Not only are overhead wires vulnerable during storms, but they are absolutely hideous to look at.
Come on legislators, get with the program. The utilities will never do it on their own.
