GREENWICH BRIEFING: Sale of Valero refinery complete

PBF Energy's acquisition of the Valero refinery becomes official today good news for the 400-plus employees who will keep their jobs with the new owner.
Donald Stewart Miller (Darien News-Review)
Donald S. Miller of Darien died Dec. 12. He was 79. Mr. Miller lived in Pelham, N.Y. and moved to Greenwich when he was 16-years-old and graduated with the class of 1949.
Next fall Wooster School , a private day school on Miry Brook Road, will open a separate but affiliated independent school on the adjacent Maimonides Academy property it just bought.
The case was something out of a Law & Order episode or a Dominick Dunne novel. A millionaire real estate developer was found stabbed at his rented Connecticut mansion just days before he was scheduled to plead guilty in a fraud case.
A Bridgeport man charged in the slaying of Greenwich real estate developer Andrew Kissel was acquitted of murder Thursday in state Superior Court , but the jury was hung on the attempted murder count.

David B. Epstein, 77, of Westport and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., died Dec. 15. 2010, in Westport.
Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust recently recruited two financial advisor teams, the company announced today.
Much to the disappointment of many antiques lovers and collectors, The Greenwich Historical Society 's annual antiques show did not take place this year.
