07/04/10 Reader Submitted Comments:Nelson "Oz" Griebel's Request For Tom Foley To Be Transparent Is Ironic At Best

Nelson "Oz Who?" Griebel, a Republican candidate for governor, called on another Republican candidate, Tom Foley, "to exercise full transparency" and release sealed court documents detailing Foley's arrests.

Griebel apparently forgets that he was in favor of closed-door meetings when Hartford business leaders, at the behest of then-Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez, were looking into a replacement for the XL Center.

Griebel has no idea what transparency means. Maybe Oz needs to acknowledge his shortcomings when he does something wrong.

COMMENT:

You make a very good point.

If I remember correctly The Hartford Courant filed a compaint with state's Freedom of Information Commission, which ruled against the city.
