To the editor:
Greenwich Time is not a court, it is not a judge and it is not a jury.
Dr. Ramaley met with justice for his lapse through our legal system and should not be subjugated again by the press. Double jeopardy is un-American. The length of the Nov. 12 article concerning Dr. Ramaley and the size of the front-page photo had the effect of both accusing him and sentencing him without regard to the American principle of "innocent until proven guilty."
Dr. Ramaley is a hero to a generation of women for whom he delivered expert medical care and healthy babies. I am among them and will be forever grateful for his role in my pregnancies and the resulting six healthy children.
