Norwalk cop charged with having sex with minor
A city police officer turned himself over to Greenwich police and was charged with having sex with a minor female about five years ago in Greenwich.

Anthony Santo, 42, of Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant and charged Friday evening with second-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor, Greenwich police said.....

....Santo was arrested after a three-month investigation, Greenwich police said in a statement. The victim was a minor female. Rilling said Santo has been placed on administrative leave, and the department will conduct its own investigation to determine whether he violated any department regulations regarding the alleged incident....

....Second-degree assault, a felony, can be charged in numerous circumstances. Where minors age 13 to 15 are concerned, a person can be charged if the person having sex with the minor is at least two years older than the victim....

Realtors still in the market for professional photos in Greenwich
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but when it comes to Greenwich real estate, they can translate into millions of dollars.

From the first click on a Realtor's Web site, to the glossy brochures piled on a marble-topped kitchen island at an open house, photographs are a big part of any sale. In today's uncertain market, the importance of professional work for even the smallest condominium is debatable, but agents and professionals agree that visuals are important when it comes to multi-million-dollar estates.

New Canaan-based real estate photographer Phil Scott said he has seen some business drop off, but the demand for photographs of high-end homes, and aerial photography, is going up....

Students to get more hands-on with retooled science curriculum
Science class could get a lot livelier for public school students in the not-too-distant future.

After several years of disappointing scores on state science exams, school officials have recently gone back to the drawing board with plans for an overhaul of the district's science curriculum.

"We have been trying to tweak things over the last few years in science. But we're basically saying, at this point, that we need a structural overhaul. We need to change the curriculum," said former Assistant Superintendent of Schools John Curtin, now serving as a special projects manager....

....Scene: Chad Kroeger, lead singer and guitarist for the popular rock group Nickelback, was seen Tuesday night with two other members of the band having dinner at Rebecca's in Glenville.....
