05/02/09 PRESS RELEASE: Adult Ed To Offer History Films

Greenwich Adult and Continuing Education has scheduled a history-film festival ­with movies about local history for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwich High School, 10 Hillside Road.

Films will illustrate the history of southwestern Connecticut, featuring figures like Gen. Israel Putnam, Boss Tweed, the Count de Rochambeau, Sybil Ludington, John Andre, and Benedict Arnold.

The class will be taught by local historian John Savage, of Old Greenwich, who wrote and produced all the videos.
