A water main ruptured on the west side of town Tuesday morning, causing 122 homes to lose water for several hours, officials said. Lorraine Bukowski, of Aquarion Water Co. of Connecticut, which services the area, said officials were notified of the small pipe bursting at 11:04 a.m., leading to the water being shut off for 11 streets in the area, including a condominium complex on Ettl Lane. The break occurred on Glenville St.
By 1 p.m., six streets, including the condominium, were returned to normal service, officials said.
The rest of the customers had their service repaired by 5 p.m., after workers installed and sealed a new pipe, according to officials........
