A Kick That Ties a Record

Staples junior placekicker Paul Tricarico tied a state record today by converting his 12th field goal of the season, this one for 21 yards. The Wreckers defeated the Greenwich Cardinals 38-21 to keep Greenwich out of the Class LL Tournament.

Man arrested in Greenwich fur coat theft

Police say a New York man was arrested after allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars' worth of fur coats from a Connecticut department store and touching off a police chase. Greenwich Time reports the theft from the Greenwich Saks Fifth Avenue happened around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Police make arrest in connection with $50,000 fur coat heist in Connecticut

Police have arrested one of two men suspected of grabbing $50,000 worth of fur coats from a high-end clothing shop on Wednesday in Greenwich, Connecticut, and then speeding off in a getaway car to New York. State troopers pulled over the pair on a highway near New York City and arrested the driver before the passenger slipped behind the wheel and took off, crashing into a police cruiser during the ensuing chase and escaping on foot, police said.
