Sisterhood's new monthly book club will begin with My Father's Paradise by Ariel Sabar. The discussion will be led by Marilyn Schwartz, a Temple Sholom member and experienced book club facilitator. Three copies of the book are available in the Temple Sholom library or they can be purchased on Amazon as softcover or ebook. Men and women are welcome to participate.

Come to the Temple Sholom Sukkah from 11:00am - 12:30pm on Sunday, October 16th to create and enter your model into the Edible Sukkah Making Contest.

2nd - 5th graders who are enrolled in the youth groups Ruach (4th-5th Grade) and B'yachad (2nd-3rd Grade) get in free!

Non-members pay $5, or you can sign your child up for the year at the event ($35/members, $50/Temple Sholom non-members.)

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

Nonie Darwish
Nonie Darwish is the founder of Arabs for Israel. She studied Sociology and Anthropology at the American University in Cairo, from here she worked as and editor and translator for the Middle East News Agency until she emigrated to the United States. Following the September 11th attacks, Darwish began writing columns critical of Islamic extremism and the silence of moderate Muslims.Nonie was born and raised as a Muslim in Cairo Egypt and Gaza and lived under Islamic Law, Sharia. She lived in the heart of the Arab-Israeli conflict during the 1956, 1967 and 1973 wars.
