Jim is desperate to change the topic from his failures on the economy, deficit, and healthcare—so he is trying to portray me as a monster by distorting my record. His latest ad claims that I want to deny emergency contraception to rape victims. Of course, this is a complete lie. I support emergency contraception for all women, especially rape victims. However, I did vote against forcing Catholic Hospitals to dispense Plan B in violation of their beliefs. Every woman should have access to emergency contraception, but I do not support government forcing any religion to violate their faith. We will not let these character attacks go unanswered. In our new ad, my wife Alexandra tells the truth about my position and reminds voters we need real solutions for job creation and deficit reduction. You can see our new ad here.
