Greenwich resident Lawrence Herzing, 45, was arrested this week on a federal criminal complaint that alleged he embezzled millions of dollars from the Greenwich hedge fund where he was employed. Federal investigators said Herzing, who lives on Riversville Road, used his position as controller of Contrarian Capital Management, at 411 W. Putnam Ave., to wire funds from his employer to accounts he controlled on 32 occasions between 2004 and 2013 totaling more than $12 million.
